Obama Appoints Health Care Rationing Czar

Wait a minute! What did that title read? "Rationing Czar?" But Obama and the Democrats promised us that there wouldn't be any rationing and that anyone who made such a claim was guilty of "fear-mongering."

Well, let's meet Obama's new Rationing Czar, Donald Berwick, and see whether we were "fear-mongering" or we simply called out the Democrats' lie earlier than they expected:

From an article by Terry Jeffrey at TownHall:

"The decision is not whether or not we will ration care," Berwick told Biotechnology Healthcare, "the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open."

President Obama has nominated Berwick to be administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the federal agency that runs these two massive proto-socialist health care programs. If confirmed, he will oversee the massive cuts that Obamacare mandated in Medicare.

"Fear-mongering?" That is the term the Dems use when they want to silence critics who have correctly identified a Democrat lie.

Vice-President Joe Biden's Attempted Hit Piece On Bobby Jindal Backfires; VP Tells Big Lie

One thing you can always count on the Democrats for is that whenever someone speaks out against them, the Dems will orchestrate a campaign against that person, usually with the help of the media, in order to somehow discredit that person and the Dems will use half-truths and outright lies when they can.

The list of people that the Dems have done this to is too long to recount here. But, the latest victim is Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Here is what Vice President Joe Biden had to say after Governor Jindal gave the response to Obama's State of the Union address.

According to KSLA News:

Wednesday morning on the CBS Early Show, Vice President Joe Biden asked, "But what I don't understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do? In Louisiana, there's 400 people a day losing their jobs."

But Biden's claim is a lie.

More:

"In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release, that added employment over the month," said Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

"The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment," Granier said of the most recent figures.

Those numbers are available on Louisiana's employment website, laworks.net.

I can think of only one reason why Joe Biden would tell such a blatent lie. It is the beginning of yet another campaign to discredit a public figure who opoosed the Democrats. I think Joe Biden knew it was a lie but told it anyway knowing that CBS would do nothing to correct him.

If anyone from CBS wishes to defend the actions of the Early Show, please feel free to respond to this post. In a similar manner, if anyone at CBS was able to confirm where Joe Biden got his information from, again, please respond.

Old Media Lets Obama's Shaky CEO Earnings Claim Go Unchallenged

Tom Blumer has a good entry over at NewsBusters.org. I've done my own math here, but the pont is exactly the same. From his article:

It's an extraordinarily clever claim. It gets your attention. It's misleading. And of course, Old Media isn't questioning it.

I am referring to the following statement made by Barack Obama in radio ads currently running in Ohio and Texas:

"Some CEOs make more in 10 minutes than some American workers make in a year."

Really? Let's find out!

If the minimum wage earner makes $5.85/hour and works 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, that comes to: $12,168/year.

Now, in order to make that much in ten minutes:

$12,168 x 6 ten-minute periods = $73,008/hour.

If you assume a 40 hour work week and 52 weeks a year, then the annual salary is: $151,856,640.

That's a pretty good take if you ask me. But how many CEOs really make that much?

6, According to Forbes. Steven P. Jobs, Ray R. Irani, Barry Diller, William P. Foley, Terry S. Semel and Michael S. Dell.

Oh, and if you look at the Top Celebrity earners, Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey tops out the list at $260,000,000, well above the claim made by Senator Obama. I guess Oprah is just really exploiting the poor. I wonder if the Senator is going to call her out?
