Obama's Policies And Platforms Show That The Road To Hell Is Paved With Democrats

Well, the battle is joined. For the Republicans, we have John McCain, a right-of-center candidate who probably isn't as Conservative as we'd like him to be, and for the Dems we have B. Hussein Obama, an uber-leftist who takes his cues from Marxists/Socialists and other followers of the Communist Manifesto. Do you think I'm being dramatic? I don't.

In a column for TownHall.com, Richard H. Collins looks at the overall policies of B. Hussein Obama and where those influences came from:

Obama makes a lot of promises. He promises universal health care where everyone has coverage whatever the circumstances and yet costs go down. But it doesn’t take an economist to figure out that this is an expensive project and no amount of technology can magically give people free health care. Someone will have to pay more. Michelle Obama admitted as much, remarking on the campaign trail:

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”

Take a wild guess who that someone is going to be. If you said American taxpayers you guessed right. Obama, like all Democrats, promises to only raise taxes on the “rich.” But once the reality of the budget – including all the new spending he proposes – hits, it is amazing how flexible that term can become.


Michelle's comment clearly shows where the Obama's are on economic policy. She might as well have just come out point blank and said, "We intend to levy higher taxes in order to confiscate more money from those who work to earn it and then give that money to people who did not work to earn it."

In other words, the average American is going to have to pay. As soon as B. Hussein Obama figures out that taxing the top earners also causes an increase in unemployment and a decrease in tax revenues, he will redefine "rich" to mean most of the middle class as well. For him and the other libs, it is all about controlling people and he believes that the best way to do that is to control their wallets, just like the Soviets and their satellites did.

Obama campaigns against free trade and for more union power as if those positions will lead to higher paying jobs. I am sure passing a card check bill that takes away the right to a secret ballot, and is favored by the big labor unions, will help a few of Obama’s supporters in their high paying jobs but for everyone else it will simply stifle the economy and restrict the rights of workers and companies.

Without the onerous restrictions of big government regulations and the inflexibility of union power, American companies can compete anywhere in the world and their doing so means economic growth. But Obama wants to tell companies where and how they can run their businesses. He wants to restrict trade in order to protect his union supporters. But a middle class built on union power is a vision from the past not the future.

Obama’s leftist positions should come as no surprise. After all, Obama sought the support of the far left New Party when he ran for state senate in Illinois. This is a party who felt the Democrats were not liberal enough and was organized by a collection of Marxist/socialists seeking government control of the economy. Obama has a clear history of working with these leftist groups in Chicago, and steering money and power their way.


And it has been us bloggers and others in the New Media who have been bringing this information out. You will never hear this mentioned on CNN, NBC, ABC or CBS. In fact, Steve Doocy of Fox and Friends went so far as to call NBC the National Barack Channel and he is correct in his assessment. None of those outlets will ever allow the truth behind B. Hussein Obama to ever come out.

And finally:

The question of this election is whether the American people are going to mistake Obama’s charm and charisma for real leadership and effective solutions; if they are going to ignore his troubling past because he gives a good speech and looks good on TV; if they are going to fall for the promise of a government who can give them everything.

To Americans who are tempted to be taken in by the smooth talking snake oil salesmen, I say beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The promise of big government often sounds good, but it always ends in broken promises and higher taxes. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.


Clearly, B. Hussein Obama knows nothing about real change. His idea of change is to go back and try more leftist/socialist policies that we already know will fail and cause nothing but pain and hardship here in America.

Is that the change you want? If so, move to North Korea or China and you may find out that the real "worker's paradise" is a free and unencumbered United States of America.

More Leftist Bias From CBS, Dems Support Fraud Voter And Congressional Pay Raise

The Dan Rather fake National Guard documents story is still the leading example of how Old Media uses its broadcast power to influence elections on behalf of the left. But CBS hasn't learned the lesson about being fair and objective. Newsbusters has a story about how CBS newsreaders fell all over themselves to criticize the income tax proposals from the GOP candidate pool, but gave no criticism at all for proposals coming from the Dems.

From the article:

Thursday's CBS Evening News took a look at the economic and tax plans for some of the candidates from both parties, but, while Democratic plans were reported without any references to criticism, correpondent Chip Reid took jabs at Republican tax cut plans, labeling that of Mitt Romney, who "made a fortune in business," as being "right out of the playbooks of Ronald Reagan and George Bush." Reid further suggested that Mike Huckabee's plan for a national sales tax contradicts his "populist" message of "protecting the middle class," as the CBS correspondent neglected to mention that Huckabee's plan would also abolish the federal income tax and provide rebates to those with lower incomes.

...

Reid went on to report economic plans of Democrats Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards without mentioning any potential down sides to raising the minimum wage or to raising taxes on the wealthy. Reid: "The Democrats' economic game plan is dramatically different. ... They say what's needed is help for the middle class, not for corporations and the wealthy."


Reid never mentions the fact that raising taxes depresses an economy and causes a loss of jobs due to inadequate capital for job creation. He also never mentions the fact that ultimately, all tax hikes are paid for by the middle class. This is typical of a leftist-socialist who doesn't understand the dynamics of a robust economy.

CBS is apparently stumping for the Dems by witholding crucial information about the effects increased taxes will have on our economy while simultaneously handing out standard leftist innuendo about tax cuts.

Neal Boortz has an interesting tidbit about the Dem's poster child for striking down Indiana's Voter ID law. It seems that 72-year-old Faye Buis-Ewing is in violation of the law when it comes to voting.

According to Nealz Newz:

She has become a "poster child" for the disenfranchised voter that will be protected under a voting system with no ID requirements. But now we've discovered one minor problem. Not only is Faye registered to vote, but she is registered in two different states. She claims two states as her primary residence. She received a homestead exemption on her property taxes ... in two different states. In other words, the leftist poster girl for their fight against voter identification laws is a criminal. What a shame.

Faye could not only vote, but she could technically vote more than the average citizen registered in only one state! She explains that she and her husband "winter in Florida and summer in Indiana." Isn't that sweet? She says that she has never voted in Florida, but she has a Florida driver's license. And when she went to vote in Indiana in November 2006 with her Florida driver's license, they, logically, did not accept it. Doesn't seem like rocket science to me! But hey, this is the average voter we are speaking of.

Now the League of Women Voters (I'm sure they are my biggest fans) say this experience is exactly the reason the law should be changed. No, ladies .... That is exactly the reason why the law should be upheld! I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that Faye is voting for Hillary Clinton. Maybe twice.


Now, I'll bet that if it were the Republicans trying to do away with the Indiana law, this story would be all over Old Media.

Some people around the country are starting to worry about their employment propects due to a deteriorating economy. But members of Congress are above all of that. Despite a record low approval rating, they are getting a $4000 pay raise.

From the Associated Press:

Lawmakers in 2008 will receive salaries of $169,300, a boost of $4,100 over the pay they have lived with since January 2006.

That 2.5 percent increase is mirrored by similar raises for associate justices of the Supreme Court, who will see their pay go from $203,000 to $208,100, and Chief Justice John Roberts, whose pay will rise to $217,400 from $212,100.

The salary figures were published in Tuesday's edition of the Federal Register.

Last year was the first since 1999, when the pay was $136,700, that members of Congress did not receive a cost-of-living allowance raise along with other federal employees. Democrats, newly elected to the majority, had vowed to block an increase in their paychecks until Congress raised the minimum wage.

With the minimum wage increase accomplished last year, House Democratic leaders joined with their Republican counterparts to oppose a procedural vote to bring the COLA issue to the floor, leaving the way clear for their automatic raise.


Interesting that they do more to put people out of work than any other group in the nation, and they get a pay raise for it.

A Look At Barack Obama And More Old Media Bias

It's still too early to tell who the candidates are going to be for each party in the Presidential election. But we can take a look at who the current presumed front-runner for the Dems: Barack Hussein Obama.

I was watching Glenn Beck last night and he posed a question to three political commentators about B. Hussein Obama: "Specifically, which of his policies do you like best?" Not one single commentator could come up with a specific reason.

So, maybe we should start looking into this ourselves. I found this item by Dennis Prager at Town Hall about the "call for unity" Obama made:

I do not doubt Mr. Obama's sincerity. The wish that all people be united is an elemental human desire. But there are two major problems with it. First, it is not truly honest. Second, it is childish.

First is its dishonesty. Virtually all calls for unity -- whether national, international or religious (as in calls for Christian unity) -- do not tell the whole truth.

If those who call for unity told the whole truth, this is what they would say: "I want everyone to unite -- behind my values. I want everyone who disagrees with me to change the way they think so that we can all be united. I myself have no plans to change my positions on any important issues in order to achieve this unity. So in order to achieve it, I assume that all of you who differ with me will change your views and values and embrace mine."


But what are his values? What does he really believe? That is what Glenn Beck was trying to get the commentators to answer but no one would say.

Dennis goes on:

Barack Obama wants American troops out of Iraq now. About half of America believes that American troops abandoning Iraq will lead to making that country the world's center of terror and to the greatest victory thus far for the greatest organized evil in the world today. How, then, will Mr. Obama achieve unity on Iraq?

Mr. Obama believes in repealing the tax cuts enacted by the Bush administration. How will he achieve unity on that? Many of us believe that re-raising taxes will bring on a recession.


And this:

For nearly eight years the media and Democrats have labeled President Bush's policies "divisive" simply because they don't agree with them. They are not one whit more divisive than Sen. Obama's positions. A question for Democrats, the media and other Obama supporters: How exactly are Mr. Obama's left-wing political positions any less "divisive" than President Bush's right-wing positions?

Second, the craving for unity is frequently childish. As we mature we understand that decent people will differ politically and theologically. The mature yearn for unity only on a handful of fundamental values, such as: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Beyond such basics, we yearn for civil discourse and tolerance, not unity.

The next time Sen. Obama speaks with his usual passion and eloquence about his desire to unite Americans, someone must ask him two questions: Why are your left-wing positions any less divisive than President Bush's right-wing positions?


That is the question that leftists in Old Media will never ask for fear of the answer.

And how much proof do you need to come to the realization that Old Media has a leftist slant and bias in its coverage? How about ABC's Good Morning America which gave a full fifteen minutes of coverage to the Dem campaign but only 31 seconds to the GOP?

Over the course of the two hour program, GMA featured four segments on the Democrats and only a solitary (and brief) piece on the GOP contest. This included co-host Diane Sawyer interviewing Barack Obama twice. ABC anchor and former Bill Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos talked to Senator Hillary Clinton. Kate Snow discussed the state of the New York senator's White House bid. Aside from mentioning the latest GOP polls in the show's intro, the only analysis of the Republicans resulted from Sawyer asking Stephanopoulos this banal question: "And what about the Republicans?" The conversation that followed lasted 31 seconds.


The really sad part is that ABC thinks we were too stupid to notice.

Liberal Media Demoralizing America And A Gay Man Invites Sex Offenders To Live With Him

This should come as no surprise to those of you who have been following the demise of Old Media. It makes perfect sense though. Leftist newsreaders in Old Media have for years been pushing their agendas rather than reporting accurately and objectively.

Michael P. Tremoglie, writing for the Bulletin in Philadelphia, gives us some really good insights on this:

There is a disputed quote, attributed to North Vietnamese General Võ Nguyên Giáp, which states the American military would have won the Vietnam War were it not for the efforts of the American media to demoralize the nation. Giap purportedly wrote, "What we still don't understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. ... We were ready to surrender! ... We knew it, and we thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media was definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields."


But the modern evidence is even more damning:

Recently, the esteemed magazine The New Republic (TNR) published a series of articles, by a soldier serving in Iraq, who claimed he witnessed misconduct by his fellow soldiers. He described horrible incidents such as insulting a disfigured woman, abusing corpses and being cruel to animals.

"Conservative" bloggers and the "conservative" media disputed the accounts. Yet, TNR defended the articles. Even after an internal investigation by the military revealed that there was no truth to them, TNR still maintained their validity. They even claimed, in an Aug. 7 statement, that they spoke to military personnel who corroborated the articles.

Finally, after months of denial, TNR issued a statement: "After months of intensive re-reporting, we cannot be confident that the events in [the soldier's] pieces occurred in exactly the manner that he described them. Without that essential confidence, we cannot stand by these stories."


But, leftist newsreaders have always been ready to stand by anti-American characters throughout the world:

Eason Jordan, CNN's chief news executive, resigned after he remarked, in 2005, that American soldiers in Iraq targeted journalists. Mr. Jordan, it seems, was more inclined to falsely report American atrocities than he was to truthfully report Iraqi atrocities since, in 2003, he admitted to withholding information about atrocities committed by Saddam Hussein.

The Boston Globe published photos of American soldiers allegedly raping Iraqi women in 2004. The story was false. The photos were common pornography.

Then there was the case of Jesse MacBeth, who claimed to be an Army Ranger and Iraq veteran. He said he committed and witnessed atrocities while serving in Iraq. Later it was learned that MacBeth had never been in Iraq. Of course, his accusations were already circulating by that time.

During 2004 and 2005 The Associated Press, which provides articles for thousands of newspapers and radio news broadcasts, published atrocity stories by former Marine Staff Sgt. Jimmy Massey, an Iraq war veteran. These too were later proven to be false.


Old Media, in most cases, should not be trusted to police themselves nor to vet their own stories.

And how militant can homosexual activists become? How about militant enough to offer rooms to murderers and sex offenders? That is what is happening down in Dog River, Alabama where a homosexual activist is threatening to open his doors to sex offenders who may want to rent a room in his house.

From WKRG, Channel 5 CBS affiliate:

Attention sex offenders and murderers: Do you need a place to live?

A Dog River couple is getting ready to rent out rooms. They say people in their neighborhood are trying to get rid of them and its payback time.

You can't miss the FOR RENT signs. They're posted in the yard and the trees!

Bobby White says he's fed up with the neighbors. "I will be here renting out rooms to sex offenders and ex-murderers and ex-thieves! They forced me into this as long as they are not on parole or on paper. I can rent out rooms to whoever I like."

...

Their Dog River neighbors like Eleni Tyler says that the signs just popped up one day. "They've got signs up and I'm having to explain to my daughter what this means. The neighborhood is extremely upset about it."

It's no secret that Ham was convicted of a sex crime in 1990. Everyone got the notice.

Tyler claims an inappropriate comment was made to her 11-year old daughter. "They were cat calling her Hey Baby and their excuse was they were looking for their dog."

White says the couple wanted to move but they can't do that either. He says the real estate agents have been harassed too "If they want us to leave so bad, leave our real estate alone." News 5's Tiffany Craig says, "That doesn't make sense! If they don't want you here why would they mess up the selling house process?" White replies, "I have no idea."


White's claim in that last paragraph does seem to be contradictory, doesn't it?
