Some Aspects Of Obama's Speech To The Muslims

Anyone who listened to Barack Obama's speech in Egypt knows exactly where he stands on issues involving the Muslim world. He is clearly for the Muslims and against us mainstream Americans.

One of his biggest whoppers was saying, "If you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we'd be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world."

Now, why would Obama tell such a huge lie? Does he actually think that the Arab Muslims will believe that?

Debbie Schlussel has the numbers:

At one point during the Presidential campaign, Obama said that we are not a Christian nation (despite the numbers given above). He even lashed out at John McCain for saying that we are a Judeo-Christian nation. Today, Obama says we are a Muslim nation? Must be that fuzzy math that the Democrats insist on teaching in public schools. The numbers show that among nations with Muslim populations, America is ranked 34th.

Obama also went on to blame the U.S. for the problems in the Arab world and said that colonialism was the root cause. But America never had any colonies in the Arab world. So, how can we be responsible for something we didn't even get involved in?

Instead of bashing America, Obama had the opportunity to build up America's image by citing the many times when Americans came to the aid of the Muslim world. He could have talked about Kosovo, Bosnia, the aid we sent to the tsunami victims in Inodnesia and southern Thailand and a whole bunch of other examples. But, no. Instead, Obama had to show how much contempt he has for the country he is supposedly leading by trashing us on foreign soil yet again.

Obama talked about a new understanding of Islam. But where was his call for Islam to launch a new understanding of America? A man who truly had the best interests of America at heart would have done exactly that.

Obama also said, "Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance." Is that why Jews are not allowed in Muslims countries? Is that why Iran recently passed a law making it a capital crime to be a Christian? Is that why many Muslim nations force their women into subservient roles and require them to hide their faces? If a Muslim preached Islam on the streets here in the United States, no one would bother them. (First Amendment, you know.) But, if a Christian preached the Gospel or a Jew preached the Torah on the streets of Iran or Saudi Arabia, they'd be charged with heresy and face the death penalty. Obama must think we are really stupid if he expects us to believe that the Mohammedans are tolerent of other religions or other cultures.

Obama said that we Americans overreacted to the 9/11 attacks where 3,000 innocent people were killed by 19 Muslim terrorists. And yet he said nothing about how Arab Muslims were dancing in the streets in celebration of the success of the attacks. A rationally thinking human being would call the dancing in the streets an overreaction, but Obama, preferring to blame America first, would never come to such a logical conclusion.

In terms of extremism, Obama could have called on Saudi Arabia to stop supporting the Wahabbis, a sect that promotes hatred and violeance as a means of extending the rule of Islam. No, Obama instead preferred to blame America for the hatred that Muslims feel towards us.

Clearly, Obama wants to prop up the Mohammedan world at the expense of those of us living here in the West.

Did you vote for that last November? Whether you did or not, that is what you are getting.

Two More Obama Insults To Our Collective Intelligence

One thing Obama is good at is insulting the collective intelligence of the entire United States of America. For example, he tells us that this will be the most morally upright administration in history, but then nominates an entire slew of cabinet members who "forgot" to pay their taxes. He promises transparency in his administration, but then goes behind closed doors and locks Republican lawmakers out of the legislative process. He signs into law a stimulus package that includes protection of bonuses for companies like AIG and then turns around and says that the bonuses are wrong.

I could go on and on with the missteps this guy has made before his first 100 days in office are done, but I'd like to move on to two more.

First, the White House claims that Obama did not bow to the Saudi King Abdullah. Interesting claim considering the video clearly shows Obama bowing to the Saudi ruling anti-semite.

Ben Smith of the Politico has this:

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.

"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

And why is this an insult to our intelligence? Because Obama is also taller than Queen Elizabeth but no such bow seemed to be necessary in that meeting.

White House: No Bow To Saudi

Obama also insulted our collective intelligence by by refusing to give any comment whatsoever on the Somali pirate hostage situation in which an American is being held against his will.

When asked by a reporter for comment, Obama refused and instead wanted to stick to some sort of script.

From Reuters:

April 9 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama declined to answer reporters' questions on Thursday on a hostage crisis off the coast of Somalia, where a U.S. ship captain is being held captive by pirates.

Obama was asked to comment on the situation several times by reporters at a White House event on refinancing for homeowners. Obama, however, stuck closely to the script and replied that he wanted to remain focused on housing.

Is the situation just not that important to him? Couldn't he have said something reassuring to the family of the hostage? No. He couldn't bring himself to be that good of a leader.

Maybe the person running the teleprompter could have put something up about it so that Obama would at least have had a script to read.

Obama Humiliates America ... Twice

Back when I was in grade school, I used to really hate teachers who would purposely humiliate the entire class for some reason. You know, those teachers who would become frustrated for their own shortcomings and turn to the class and say something like: "Not a single one of you is smart enough to learn this lesson!"

I also hated it when I was in the Marine Corps and some senior Staff NCO would yell out some idiotic insult to an entire platoon or company, an insult which served no purpose except to devalue the leadership skills of that Staff NCO.

Thus, I was doubly disappointed when Barack Obama insulted and humiliated America twice (so far) on his European trip.

First, he showed inferiority and submissiveness to an anti-Semitic ruler whose government helps to fund terrorism in the world. He did something that no American President should ever do: bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia:

Obama Shows Weakness And Submissiveness To The Saudis

A little side story here. When the photos of this event emerged, the libs became unhinged about it and began to float stories that the photos had been altered in some way. Well, the above video proves that it really did happen and Obama humiliated America in the process.

But, that wasn't enough for the president who can't talk straight without a teleprompter in front of him. He had to go even further and insult all of America while he was visiting France. He made comments that were supposed to placate the Europeans and make them feel justified in their irrational hatred of America.

Here is Obama's quote from a column by Mark Whittington of the Associated Content:

"In America, there is a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive"

How can anyone possibly respect a leader who turns around and insults his own countrymen like that? I can't. I can't respect Obama anymore than I could respect an incompetent school teacher or a Staff NCO who knows nothing about good leadership.

The problems in this world did not start with America. We ended up getting involved with them because our national safety depended on it.

Whittington explains:

President Obama seems so very anxious to "mend fences" with the Europeans that he seems to be in need of a history lesson, as indeed does his student audience.

One should remind Mr. Obama and the Europeans how American has "shown arrogance" by saving Europe from itself innumerable times in the 20th Century. World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and the wars in the Balkans were largely resolved by American blood, treasure, and leadership. One can be "dismissive, even derisive" toward Europeans because they pretty much caused those conflicts and then dithered, for the most part, until those arrogant Americans had to step in to clean up their mess.

Much of the problems of the Third World, including the rise of Islamo Fascism, can be laid at the doorstep of European colonial practices, including the chaotic and often bloody process of decolonialization that took place starting with the end of World War II. Africa is a butcher shop and the Middle East is a cockpit of terror and war, not because of American "arrogance", but European stupidity when it ran those two places.

Mr. Obama should go back to school and learn the lessons of history. We are not an arrogant people. We just don't like it when outsiders try to tell us that we cannot defend ourselves or do what is necessary to keep our people safe.

The arrogance is on the part of those who try to tell us that we should stop doing so.

Obama Bad-Mouths The United States On Muslim Television

I don't recall anywhere in the Presidential Oath of Office where it says the President should speak ill of America and Americans. But that is exactly what Obama has done.

In his first formal television interview, given on a Muslim cable channel, Obama insulted the American people and trashed the United States. And he didn't even have the courage to do it here on American soil.

From the Associated Press:

"My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy," Obama said. "We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect."

The interview complemented the new administration's first efforts to reach out to Arab leaders in the region, who have been wary at best of U.S. efforts to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

Obama said he felt it important to "get engaged right away" in the Mideast and had directed Mitchell to talk to "all the major parties involved." His administration would craft an approach after that, he said in the interview.

"What I told him is start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating," Obama told the interviewer.

No! The United States starts by taking our own interests into account first while the Islamics start by launching terrorist attacks to kill innocent people. President Obama needs to remember that we Americans do not like being trashed by our own leaders! And we certainly don't like our leaders bad-mouthing us to those who have sworn to kill us as infidels!

Does Obama really believe that showing this kind of weakness to the terrorists is going to make them start liking us? If he does, he is going to get a rude awakening. It will encourage more attacks agains the U.S. and now that Obama has gutted our security infrastructure, such attacks are going to be even more devastating.

What about all those Muslim schools in Saudi Arabia that teaches hatred of the Jews and all things non-Muslim? Did Obama not get the briefing about them?

What about all the terrorist attacks launched against U.S. interests over the years? Does Obama really want to forgive a group of people who will not accept forgiveness nor accept any peace that they themselves have not dictated?

And what about Israel? If Obama has such a low opinion of America and Americans, what does he think about Israel?

The president reiterated the U.S. commitment to Israel as an ally, and to its right to defend itself. But he suggested that Israel has hard choices to make and that his administration would press harder for it to do so.

"We cannot tell either the Israelis or the Palestinians what's best for them. They're going to have to make some decisions. But I do believe that the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in prosperity and security for their people," he said.

Really? You mean that Hamas isn't going to achieve peace by launching rockets at Israeli civilians? Why hasn't Obama taken that message to Hamas? It seems that Obama is going to follow the failed policy of Bill Clinton and resurrect the Camp David Accords in which Israel gives up everything, the Palestinians gain everything and then the terrorists launch new attacks against Israel.

Barack Obama is turning out to be the most ignorant President in the history of the United States! And he has only been in office for one week!

The Most Intolerant Nation Leads Forum On Religious Tolerance

First, anti-semetic Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the United Nations condemning the Jewish religion, for which he was given a standing ovation and a hug. Now, Saudi Arabia, a nation whose record on human religious rights violations is so bad that it has few peers in that category, is hosting a forum on religious tolerance.

What is going on and why are President Bush and Secretary of State Condi Rice attending?

From Colum Lynch at the Washington Post:

Saudi Arabia's sponsorship of the event drew criticism from human rights advocates, who said that a country that oppresses its religious minorities lacks the moral authority to lead such a gathering.

"Saudi Arabia is not qualified to be a leader in this dialogue at the United Nations," said Ali Al-Ahmed, a Saudi national who serves as director of the Washington-based Institute for Gulf Affairs. "It is the world headquarters of religious oppression and xenophobia."

Most leaders from Europe -- with the exception of Britain and Finland -- Latin America, Africa and Asia stayed away, sending lower-ranking representatives. Some U.N. delegates said they were put off by the prospect of holding a religious event in the world's premier diplomatic venue, the U.N. General Assembly chamber. They also expressed concern about having their top leaders participate in an event on religious tolerance sponsored by a government that has such a poor record on the issue.

"We all know what happens in Saudi Arabia," one U.N. ambassador said.

Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director for Human Rights Watch, said a U.N. discussion on religious discrimination should spotlight places "where religious intolerance runs deepest, and that includes Saudi Arabia."

Actions, not words, are what we need if people are to be allowed to worship as their own conscience dictates.
